“It’s through mistakes that you actually can grow. You have to get bad in order to get good.”
—Paula Scher
I have always struggled with imposter syndrome. When I first heard about the BFA, I never thought that I would be able to get into such a prestigious program, let alone survive in this competitive environment. Now that I am graduating, I now know that I was built to grow and thrive in these conditions. I have learned so much about myself, how I love to design, and how to approach everything in life with a mindset that focuses on improvement.
As a designer, I now look at everything around me through the lens of graphic design, whether it’s logos, website layouts, or bus advertisements. I love to have fun with my work, and I strive to imbue my own designs with my personal life experiences and morals. I’m so thankful for my fellow classmates and professors, as well as my family, that kept me going and helped me throughout my journey.
